With the season just around the corner, the news for the NTJSA sides is as follows.
Due to the proposed change at the NTCSL to FFA recognised small sided game format (SSG) the NTCSL will not offer 6 a side to Under 12’s any longer, so the Northern Rangers will now accommodate this age group in the NTJSA. So all players wishing to join the Northern Rangers in 2011 are invited to attend training from the 9th of March, at the NTCA number two ground.
Training will be from 4pm to 5:30 and there may be some variances between age groups starting times, depending on coach availability, but for week one, if intending players are at the NTCA by 4pm this would help.
The club is also looking for parents and coaches to be involved in all age groups, coaching assistance will be available through our Technical Director of Youth Football Stewart Lomax. Stewart will be available to help with planning training and executing game plans, he will be at the ground on most Wednesday evenings and will run some coaching evenings with our junior coaches once we get everyone appointed. This means no parent or coach will have to jump in the deep end alone, and all participants can benefit from Stewart’s expertise.
