WHAT A GAME! Rangers were without a few key players but this did not make any difference against a young up and coming Sharks team.
The game started at 95 miles an hour and at the 90th min was still being played at the same speed. Well done to both sides regardless of the 6-1 score to Rangers.
Rangers opened the scoring in the 2nd minute through Nelson Namsang but a lack in concentration in the Rangers midfield from the restart saw the Sharks get a very early equaliser. Playing at such a fast pace Rangers had the pressure on the Sharks who managed to keep Rangers at bay until Namsang again on the 20th minute put Rangers in the driving seat which they held on to until half time.
After the break with good encouragement from the senior Coach Adam Whitemore at half time, the teams had only just taken the kick-off when Lian Tham collected the ball on the edge of the 18 yard box, beat 2 defenders before beating the keeper to make the score 3-1 to the home side
The constant pressure of the Rangers forwards and midfield saw them go further ahead 8 minutes into the half through Kieran vanDonselaar, with some very good on field play which continued by both sides before Zac Pearce found the back of the net on the 75th and 90th minutes of the game. Had Rangers finished the chances created the score could / should have been more but it was the way in which the game was played that impressed more.
This young Rangers side have developed well as a unit & work hard for each other with all players giving 100% and playing some wonderful football for Crooks - a well fought game and deserved win on the part of Rangers.
