The Reserves went to Devonport with a chance to either put their season back on track, or let it go into other clubs hands.

With a strong team on paper, it was surely going to be a tough ask for Devonport to win this one.

Ollie Jenson took his place in goals, as Lichtendonk was kept fresh as a back up for Marshall Pooley in seniors, a great position to be in with keepers waiting in the wings.  How many clubs could afford such a luxury?

Rangers kicking into the stiff breeze were the first to score when Patty Lanu Atkinson coolly collected a through ball and rounded the keeper with composure beyond his years, to slot the chance into the net.

Rangers held the lead to half time, but lost it early in the second half, with some poor marking costing Rangers dearly in defense.

Devonport put another 2 goals away before Rangers were able to get a late consolation goal, again to Lanu Atkinson, who is have a stellar year in his first senior club season at the age of 15.

 3-2 win to Devonport, a disapointing result.
